What this site does
Australiancrafts is an editorial operation — not a shop, not a marketplace. We read, compare, and weigh what's actually available to Australian makers, from first-time hobbyists to serious practitioners. Ten years on shop floors and behind retail counters taught me where quality and value genuinely intersect. Every guide exists to close one gap: the distance between what overseas reviewers recommend and what you can realistically buy here, at a fair price, from an Australian retailer. We do the reading and the math so you can spend your time making.
How we evaluate
